any APxxxx card cant solve this?
i realy need serial connection with older protocol where when device writes "Y" ups answers SM ... etc.
this crappy MicroLink protocol can do ... ehm ... nothing? i can set up maybe voltage and thats all, when i want to get current status i must send ENTER key and that is one big problem, if there is some normal text char how to display status i have solution for that i can redirect serial console and put there some text char, but special keys like ENTER and ESC are problem so i have no idea how to get battery status, run time left and online offline data from this ups model, i have network card AP9617 that i can eventually use but i dont know if it solves something - maybe i can send data to email ... but i dont have firmware for that card for SURTD5000XLI and i dont know if compatible firmware exists ...
any idea or solution?

Hi,
I am sorry but SURTD model Smart-UPS do not have upgradeable firmware. What do you want to communicate with? Maybe we can find a different solution.

Hi,
The SURTD5000 ships with a 9 pin serial to keyed RJ50 cable. The protocol used is MicroLink where as the AP9620 you asked about earlier using UPSLink.
