Hello Forum!!
Im here for a quick question about the Surta2000XL (Smart-UPS RT 2000XL) what are the best ways to keep the unit in good condition on long term storage for about 14months? Power cycles every 6months?
Any help in advance is very appreciated (Sorry for my bad english)

Yes, that is best case scenario - disconnect the batteries at full charge and then within 6 months, give them a full charge for the best chance of survival.

Hello,
The most important part will be the battery storage. You'll want to store them disconnected from the UPS and adhere to/understand the information here on storing those -> Battery Discharge During Storage | FAQs | Schneider Electric US
Battery Damage When Battery Is Left Discharged | FAQs | US is also good to review and keep in mind when storing those batteries. We don't want to leave them discharged.
Let me know if you have any other questions.

Hello Angela!!
Thanks for the fast reply and the links!
From the first link
With SmartUPS RT (1kva to 10kva):
Any time a SmartUPS RT (1kva to 10kva) will be turned off without input power present, or allowed to operate in bypass for over 24 hours, the battery modules should be disconnected to prevent unnecessary discharge. Depending on the health of the batteries, they can discharge below start-up voltage (approximately 85vDC) within 72 hours if the UPS is not operating normally.
If the ambient temperature during storage is - 15°C to + 30°C (+ 5°F to + 86°F), perform a full recharge cycle at least every six months.
I think i understand, should i disconnect the battery when its full charged and unplug the UPS. Then after six month the have to be reconnected for a full charged?
