SURT6000XLI - Error messages - please help
Hello,
we are using an APC SURT6000XLI with 4 extra battery packs SURT192XLBP. A few years it was working really fine. But now I have found some entries in the logs I do not understand, maybe somebody can tell me, what to do:
03:55:15 UPS: In bypass in response to an internal hardware fault.
03:55:17 UPS: An inverter fault exists.
03:55:20 UPS: Refused a self-test; UPS is overloaded.
The batteries are ~ 6 years old. Is the reason for this error messages, that I have to replace them?
Greetings and thank you very much!
Digger

Hi Digger -
These faults indicate a possible hardware fault with the UPS itself, not the batteries. Did the faults clear by themselves? If not, you can try clearing them with e "Brain Dead" procedure. To do this:
- Turn Off the UPS
- Unplug the UPS from Utility power
- Disconnect all batteries internal and external
- Reconnect batteries, reconnect utility power, and turn UPS back on
If this does not clear your error you likely have a hardware fault. I would contact your local tech support team for further assistance.
Thanks!
Liam
