I have a APC SURT3000XLI UPS that when power is switched off it runs on battery for a while and then the fault indicator comes on and there is no more output voltage. What would be the problem here?

Good day Bryan,
Do you have an idea if the UPS comes with a network management card installed or are you using PowerChute Business Edition to monitor the UPS? If you have a network management card, it would be helpful to access it and view if there's a log. This can also be retrieved if you are using the PowerChute software.
Since you have mentioned that the fault indicator is on, can you tell us if the battery charge LEDs are lit up? If it is lit up, can you tell me if they are on or off starting from the top LED.
