Hmm, OK. I mean in general, we'd do a manual runtime calibration a UPS by having at least a 30% load on it that does not fluctuate and let the UPS run on battery until the UPS turns off and then let it turn back on and charge up. Modern UPSs also allow you to issue a calibration command where it does this except it does not turn the UPS off and charges it down to 10-20% so that the load doesnt turn off.
Does this UPS have an interface where it reports how much runtime you have available? I am not sure if it'd have a command you could issue to it or something. But a calibration would only update any runtime values remaining if this UPS supports providing it. Otherwise, a calibration is not needed.

Hello,
The link in this post may help as far as a user's guide -> http://forums.apc.com/spaces/5/smart-ups-symmetra-lx-rm/forums/general/10766/sudp10000i-battery-mode...
If it doesn't though, I'd recommend contacting EMEA support too. This UPS was only available there and is really old so I don't have any access to it or any other documentation besides that user's guide.
