Hi,
I've been using APC products since the late 1990s. The journey began with a Back UPS 500 VA unit that was eventually replaced by a Back UPS RS 1500 with an external battery back in Jan 2004. Over the years I wound up with 3 of these BR-1500 units.
I purchased a Smart UPS 2200 earlier this month. The UPS is connected to my desktop computer and home entertainment system (plasma TV and a surround sound amplifier).
However, I am disappointed to find the battery run time with a 13.6% load (about 270w, with PC and LCD monitor running) is only 103 minutes compared with 137 minutes according the run time chart published on APC's site.
A run time calibration (without using PCBE) was performed and the battery has now recharged fully. But there's no change in the run time.
I hope the battery pack is not faulty. The unit was manufactured on Nov 11th 2010. Any ideas on what could be wrong?
Regards,
Viv

The runtime chart shows the estimated battery time of the unit on a given load. The actual runtime will depend on a lot of conditions like the environment where it is being used, the behavior of the load attached to the unit and the charge of the battery. If you let the UPS run on battery or perform a pull plug test it will give you the actual runtime.
