SMX3000RMLV2UNC firmware update file please?

Hello.

I have an SMX3000RMLV2UNC ups vintage 07/27/2011 at is on firmware revision level 02.0 (ID10).  The latest Firmware Upgrade Wizard v4.3.8, has a firmware file SMX1003UPS_15-0.enc whose "readme" file says that this firmware is compatible with my SMX3000RMLV2UNC.  When I run the update wizard, the wizard finds the UPS via the Comm port 4 and says that the UPS is upgradeable.  When I run the wizard I normally expect the wizard to pick the correct file for uploading to the UPS.  The wizard does not find the file nor will it allow me to manually select the file for some reason.

Does anyone have any idea why this file will not work on this UPS?  Should I remove the NMC2 that is installed before attempting the update?

Because the hardware doesn’t meet the requirements as such can’t be upgraded as it falls within the APC Firmware FAQ:

The highest firmware you would see in the field for that production year is 3.80.

Teken, thanks for the information.  Although I could not glean the fact that my hardware cannot be upgraded from that FAQ, and the fact that the upgrade wizard says that the firmware can be upgraded when I run it, I'll take you at your word and leave well enough alone because the UPS is working well.

Hi Bill.  Can you please help me find the latest firmware for my SMX3000RMLV2UNC serial number IS1131003380 manufactured on 07/27/2011?  I've heard from others on the forum that v3.80 is the latest for this particular hardware platform.  Also, does Schneider Electric maintain an archive for previous firmware update wizards?

Finally, does Angela still work for Schneider and does she still support this board?  She's a gem!
