SMX1500RM2U (Not "C") Firmware

My long-out-of-warranty SMX1500RM2U was (and has been for years) working fine, when suddenly the outlet groups shut off.  The firmware appears to be corrupted, as it will not save setting changes in the configuration menu, shows 12121212121212 for the serial number, a Manufacture Date of 01/01/2000, and won't let me change from Standard to Advanced.  There is no firmware 1 listed, firmware 2 shows "Com 03.8",  Firmware Revision appears to be ID11.

I am a retired tech for a now defunct computer service company, so I've done my share of bios updates.  I have the serial cable and would like to try reflashing the firmware before I junk this unit.  Can you please help me obtain the correct files and procedure, since they are not listed on the website?  Thank you!

You’ll need to reach out to APC Technical Support to obtain the firmware for this legacy hardware. 

You will need the proprietary (RJ50 - RS232) APC Serial cable as well or make one yourself.
