Hi,

I purchased one APC Smart SMT3000 without NMC, I am wondering how to prepare the server (Windows server 2019) and two NAS synology to shutdown them when electricity outage?

I am wondering if it possible to shutdown the three devices by PowerChute Serial Shutdown? Or the only solution in this case by PowerChute Network Shutdown?

You could install PowerChute Serial Shutdown on the Windows server and write a command file that PowerChute will run before the server is shutdown that will command the NAS/s off.

If you search the web for synology nas shutdown script you will find the script code needed.

Thanks for the information,

I already installed PowerChute Serial Shutdown on another computer and could linked the NAS devices by SNMP to put them in standby when the UPS on the battery.
But can you provide me more information regarding sending a command/script to Windows server? how and if you have any examples of scripts?
