SMT3000RM2UC UPS: At least one faulty battery exists and RFC1628 MIB alarm entry added
I replaced the battery in one of our SMT3000RM2UC at a remote location on Nov 15. All was working fine so I left. Went on vacation on the 23rd and came back today to almost 10k emails from that UPS with the subjects UPS: At least one faulty battery exists and UPS: RFC1628 MIB alarm entry added as subjects.
I logged into the UPS today and tried to initiate a self-test, but the self-test failed with " Calibration Refused 12/06/2022 management device state of charge not acceptable". But the UPS is charged at 98.4%.
The environment:
2 electrical circuits. 2 identical SMT3000RM2UC, each plugged into it's own circuit. A single PDU plugged into each UPS. 7 supermicro servers with dual power supplies; PS1 plugged into PDU1/UPS1, PS2 plugged into PDU2/UPS2.
I replaced the battery in UPS1 a few months ago with no issues.
