SMT3000RM2U and AP9617 NMC?

We recently purchased a new SMT3000RM2U UPS unit. However, they wouldn't spring for the additional funds for a new NMC. I found an older AP9617 card on the shelf, but noticed it's discontinued and I can not find any verification that the two are compatible on the APC site.

Can anyone verify if the card will work with my new UPS?

It won't 😞 Only the AP9630 and up work with SMT/SMX model UPSes.
