Hi! I have an SMT2200RMI2U, s/n AS1834140244.
I have configured it to output a 220V voltage, but its output voltage is the same as the input.
Is it possible to configure this model to stabilize voltage? According to manual, it has an AVR.

If you’re looking for a fully regulated output voltage than a double conversion (On Line) UPS is the only option.
As you noted your APC SMT (Line Interactive) UPS output follows the input voltage to a certain degree.
You can adjust the upper and lower transfer voltage for a tighter operating range. This is what impacts the AVR circuit in the system.
Lastly, just for clarity sake changing the power quality setting from normal to whatever option determines when the system will go into battery only mode.
This provides the cleanest output power while sacrificing battery longevity (service life).

Thank you for response, Teken.
Strange, but sua2200rmi2u seems to have such voltage regulation. is it a different type of ups? i always thought that it is also line-interactive. or did they remove voltage regulation from smt2200rmi2u?

Both systems are pure sine wave output but are also line interactive topology.
You’re correct some of the older hardware provided a tighter input / output voltage.
As noted the only option for you is to adjust the upper / lower transfer voltage which controls when the system will go into AVR mode.
Keep in mind when the system goes into AVR mode the output will not be whatever the line voltage would typically be say 220 / 230 / 240 in the UK / EU.
Upon AVR Trim / Boost expect to see a minimum of 10 VAC in change. All of which is within operating range of all electronics.

So, at present day the only choice we have is the on-line topology devices, if we want fully working AVR (in case of APC/SE at least), as you mentioned earlier.

If your expectation and goal is to see (say a nominal input voltage of 220 VAC) and the same (220 VAC) at the output.
Then (Yes), a On Line Double Conversion UPS is required if the input swings high / low.
Show me the event, data, ups log for this specific unit. As I would like to see what the input vs output voltage is that’s giving you such concern?!?

Thank you for clarifying the matter. You are right, in most cases there is probably no matter for concern. I just wanted to make sure the device was behaving correctly.
