SMT2200R
I have approx. 35 of these units. I am starting to see a "replace battery" notification on several of these units! I believe they are about 3 years old. Does this seem accurate?

The average battery service life is 3-5 years which depends upon usage, temperature, and environmental conditions. The replace battery notification is simply an internal counter based on the installation date. All of the battery cells and cartridges have a production date imprinted or labeled on the case.
All of the systems should be validated as to battery health and operational runtime by completing a *Lights Out / Grid Down* event by simply removing AC Mains with the connected load. This is the only true indicator as to how the system will perform and the battery health.
Along with the real world operational runtime vs new.
Any serious installation will have a well defined maintenance schedule for battery replacement. Regardless of the *Lights Out / Grid Down* test and results. As doing so insures the infrastructure is well protected during a power quality issue.
