Just got a new SMT1500RM2UC that came with a Connector L5-30R connector, after talking with the UPS chat sales they told me to get a adapter to plug it to a regular plug, we just would not get all 3000V , here is the
adaptor https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07D5XJ27Z/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
No when I plug the UPS to the wall I get an alarm beep and the LCD show error b.04, I can't find the error code on the documentation or anywhere on the APC site. Now if I turn on the UPS without being plugged to the wall I get an error P.17 I assume it is because it is not getting power ?
Where are all the error codes documentation ? ... I called tech support and still waiting for them to call me back.
If anyone have information about this it would be very appreciated.
Thanks
Carlos

Hi Carlos,
B.04 indicates a charger event. To rule out a potential input issue due to the adapter, I recommend performing a braindead on the UPS, then connecting the unit directly to the wall utility outlet, without any load connected, and turning it on. Do any alerts come up?

Carlos -
Can you also verify the exact model and serial of the unit? An SMT1500RM2UC should have a standard 5-15 input plug.

Hi Carlos - It sounds like a possible hardware issue. I would advise calling Tech Support for troubleshooting and possibly a warranty replacement. It appears that you're in the US. You can reach tech support at 800-890-4272 Mon-Fri 8am to 8pm Eastern.
Thanks,
Liam
