we had a SMT1000RM2UC on a shelf, and decided to put it to use. we have it connected to the network, it has an IP address, but we cannot access it via web browser.
we did make a change on the UPS display, turning on "smart connect enable with control"
and 30 minutes later still no browser access, so not sure how to setup alerts and such on it?
The smartconnect port will not provide you with a web UI for the UPS. It is designed to communicate with the smartconnect portal.
If you want to have a web interface toward the UPS itself, that goes beyond the functionality of the smartconnect portal, you will need a network management card, that is then installed in the smart slot port on the back of your unit.
