So I have a Smart UPS (Pretty sure this is the model number) and I bought it second hand, I have got powerchute configured with a serial cable and can get the UP to respond with SM serial numbers etc..etc.. So I know the Serial cable works.
I plug in the second hand APC9619 and the serial stops responding at all, I've attempted to press the reset button and the green light goes out and the orange light flashes then press it again try pressing enter on the console and nothing Shift+y nothing just does not seem to work ?
Any Clues ?

Hi,
You cannot communicate with the UPS using UPSlink while the AP9619 is installed. To communicate with the UPS using UPSlink you must remove the card.
When the card is installed when connecting via terminal session the card will respond not the UPS and you need to enter the user name and password for the card.
