Hello, I have several APC unit's, but the one causing me major stress is the SC620 with the Serial connection, I don't have a Serial port on my Laptop, I have a serial to USB converter cable but, just don't seem to be able to get a connection, Powerchute personal does not see the unit and neither does Business edition which is browser based ! I can't be the only person with this problem, but just can't find any answer's on the web, my laptop is running windows 10, is upto dat routerlogin e and has CH340 driver via the 192.168.0.1 op system, comm port two, bit rate 2400, data bits 8,parity -none, stop bits 1 and flow control 1. Many thanks. 192.168.l.l

Hi,
Smart-UPS SC620 is not compatible with PowerChute Personal Edition. You should be able to install PowerChute Business Edition 9.5 or 10 and communicate using the USB to Serial converter. You will need to install the USB to Serial converter driver. Then, when installing PowerChute select the correct com port and set the UPS type to type B.
