Redundant UPS and Serial Shutdown and redundant power supplies
I have two APC 3000's, lets say APC-A and APC-B and I will plug one power supply from each server into APC-A and one power supply from each server into APC-B. I will install PowerChute Serial Shutdown into two of the servers and plug in a serial cable from one server to APC-A and from the other server into APC-B. Wondering how to setup each server so that a shutdown of the servers only happens if one UPS has powered down and the second is on battery in process of shutting down. Also, how do I shutdown OS of more servers plugged into the UPS if they do not have a serial cable. Thanks
