It depends.
Generator sizing is an art all in its own. There are many questions to be answered before you can settle on a generator.
60 or 80 kVA?
What is the power factor of this UPS? What is the full load distortion?
What other systems will be using the generator?
If cooling is on the generator, what type of cooling? What are the running Amps and locked rotor Amps?
What type of fuel do you plan to use?
Of course, some of us actually get paid to engineer generator systems.
