I know I can read the UPS-Model with this OID.
upsBasicIdentModel =.1.3.6.1.4.1.318.1.1.1.1.1.1.0
I get for example: "SMART-UPS 2200 RM"
No matter if the real model is "SU2200RMI3U" or "SU{color:#FF0000}A{color}2200RMI{color:#FF0000}2{color}U".
I think it´s quiet usefull to get te exact name, because you want to know what kind of battery you need.
Is there a way to read this proper model-name via SNMP?
The config-txt (via FTP) doen't contain the model either.
Maybe there is a work-around by using the serialnumber?

unfortunately not. older models will never support this because the UPS firmware never was able to report it. we've learned from that so the newer SMX/SMT next generation Smart UPS support that via their LCD and then the NMC will shortly support polling that value in one of the next few NMC firmware releases.
