We have 18 years old raised floor tiles in our co-lo, data facility. Recently around the same time, many of the tile's tops started lifting, almost like ungluing. We are not sure if it is an age thing, glue has a life time. Our site humidity is apprx 15%. Please see attached pics.
Have you guys seen that in other data centers ? What might be causing this? Any thoughts.

I've seen something similar in the past. Everything has a lifetime, and replacement tiles are easy to come by.
Oh and 15% rh is way to low for a data center. It's possible that having very low moisture content in your data center air is causing the glue to become brittle and the edges are lifting in high traffic areas. Have your facilities group/co lo manager investigate and try for a minimum of 35%rh. I'd think that the terms of the co lo contract have some sort of environmental control window established.
