Hello again,
What kind of protection against short circuit or overload has the SURT1000XLI in on line and bypass mode? Does it have thermal-magnetic protection?
Greetings,
HA

i can say that in bypass, overload is limited by the UPS input circuit breaker which is 70A for 10kVA model. i will follow up with any other details i find on this.

Ok thanks for the info,
And yes, I've seen those circuits breakers in UPS from 5kVA to 20kVA, but my question was about for the 1kVA, I haven't seen those output circuit breakers in SURT1000XLI, SURT2000XLI and SURTD3000XLI, so what kind of protection do they have against short circuit in on line mode? You are right, in bypass mode they have a circuit breaker at the input, but in on line mode?

let me see what i can find out. also, i misread and thought you said SURT10000XLI and not SURT1000XLI. just to clear that up, the SURT1000XLI has a 10A breaker.
ill post back with anymore info i can find out in regards to your question.

Thanks for your help.
And this is the second time I read there is a breaker in the SURT1000XLI (the first time was when I read the BID Spec) Where is it and how can I reach it (in case I need it)?

Hi,
We use many APC 3000VA (SUA3000RMI2U) in our system.
I need more information on the internal protection circuit, like:
(1) the Internal breaker current rating
(2) Load protection or UPS input protection?
(3) Does the load is still powered when overload occur?
Any technical documentation is welcomed...
We also use UPS 1500VA, 2300VA, 5000VA depending on the load to supply.
Regards,
Phliippe
