Hi,
Recently we’ve bought Smart-UPS RT 48V Battery Pack (SURT48XLBP) for our Smart-UPS RT 2000 RM XL with Network Management Card 2 (AP9630) installed.
How can I point out the UPS to recognize external batteries?
I connect via web interface, there is settings under configuration > UPS section
"External Batteries - The number of batteries connected to the UPS, excluding built-in batteries. Accepts changes in maximum increments or decrements of 16 at a time."
Now it is set to 1. Should I change this parameter? If so, what number should I set?
Are there any other things to do for correct configuration external battery pack?
Thanks!

Hello,
No, you just need to physically plug in your new battery pack to the UPS. From there, you just need to update that count of batteries to (2). This particular model counts its internal battery pack as 1 so with the added SURTA48, changing it to 2 would provide you the correct amount of reported runtime. See below.
SURTA1500XL/SURTA2000XL:
Defines the number of connected battery packs for proper run time prediction.
1 = internal battery module,
2 = one SURTA48XLBP or SURTA48XLBPJ,
3 = two SURTA48XLBP or SURTA48XLBPJ,
etc.
