Hi,
I'm having difficulty with a Powerchute network shutdown install under 64bit 2003 server.
I can browse to the management card from the server without difficulty but when I attempt to install the software I am told there was a timeout communicating with the managment card (the client still gets registered with the management card and if you get the credentials wrong you see a credential failure message instead so there is obviously communication occuring).
If you continue with the installation you are then unable to browse to the local service on port 6547 (page cannot be displayed) and running netstat -na will show that 6547 isnt actually open on the local machine
I have yet to rule out the anti virus software (Symantec Endpoint 11) but I wanted to see if the symptons enable anyone to pinpoint the cause of the problem more quickly.
Many thanks

Good day Ash,
Aside from what Techie has provide I would like to ask a few more questions from you.
* What is the model number of the UPS that you are using?
* What kind of network management card do you have?
* What is the exact model/type of your Operating System?
* Have you tried installing PowerChute Network Shutdown on a different Operating System?
* Do you have Hyper-V/VMWare installed on this machine?
* What version of PowerChute Network Shutdown are you installing?
* Have you verified that the PowerChute service is running on your machine after installing it?
* Have you tried updating to the latest Java version?
* Have you tried accessing the PowerChute Interface on a different PC on your network?
Please make sure that the PowerChute Software and your Operating System are listed on the [PowerChute Network Shutdown Compatibility Guide|http://www.apcmedia.com/salestools/SJHN-7AYQNP_R17_EN.pdf]
