Hello
I need a little help. It’s certainly just a little think. I receive 2 new ups APC SMT1500C. I connect to my switch, I have a dchp, I receive an ip. I can ping it. So that’s good. But I wasn’t able to connect to the web page of the ups, I try, Network Management Device IP Configuration Wizard, I scan the network (I am on the same Vlan than the ups) but I can’t find it. I think that it can be a problem with the IP (I have a lot of devices with an IP fix, so I scan the network take another IP) but not. I try another switch, 3 different cables. I check the subnet. Do a factory default to the ups. But I have really no idea why I wasn’t able to access to the web page. When I scan the network with advance IP scanners, I see the UPS APC. I can ping it but the web page wasn’t accessible.
Have you any idea? Thanks a lot for your help.

Hello,
Did you connect to the SamrtConnect NIC that is built into the UPS?
If you are using the built-in NIC to access the UPS, you must create a SmartConnect cloud account, register your UPS with the account, and then you can view the UPS status.
Please go to SmartConnect.apc.com to sign up and review the help files for assistance.

Hi Genevieve,
Have you tried to use HTTPS, all new APC devices have HTTP disabled by default. Alternatively if you can SSH to the device using PuTTy or similar you can enable it with the following commands enable HTTP by running the following commands:
web -h enable
reboot

Do you know if your using a NMC or a Smart Connect port?
The Smart Connect port is green and as Bill has already said it does not have a local interface.
