Last night we had to power off our rooms. Since everythign has powered back on I can't get my APC console working.
If I plug a monitor, keyboard and mouse into the AP5201, it works fine. The AP5717 doesn't work though. It appears to be stuck in standby. I've tried restarting it all. Everything appears ok. I have to be missing something really simple. Any ideas?

One of them has PS2. I can go over and try that in a few.
That is correct about the login screen. It won't show that even. Only when I plug in the external monitor.

What LED indicators do you see and what's on the screen? Basically, why do you say it's stuck in standby - what is telling you that?
I know you said you've tried restarting it all but I am wondering the specific order. I would power off the AP5201 KVM and the AP5717 Rack LCD and then go ahead and turn on the Rack LCD first and then the KVM and see if that changes everything.
Lastly, if you press the exit button once to auto-adjust - any change? And if you press the menu button, can you tell me the display firmware? i.e. 6.8 or similar.
Thanks!

The indicator I get is the power button on the LCD lighting up orange.
I went over and powered both off and brought them back in the order you suggested. LCD followed by the KVM. Still no luck. On the LCD I got a message saying it was turning the LCD on. then No Input.
When I push Exit or Menu, nothing happens.

Hm, OK, and since this KVM is PS/2 only, you are using the black DB-15 to VGA PS/2 cable (and not the supplied green DB-15 to VGA PS/2 one with adapters)?
Can you verify the black DB-15 connection on the Rack LCD end too?

That's correct. Black DB15 on the console to a VGA & PS/2 end on the KVM.

Can you let me know on that Rack LCD display version firmware I asked for? Also, with the external monitor, what resolution do you have displayed when it works fine there? And what Hz?

Have you tried to directly connect the AP5717 to one of these servers and bypass the AP5201? (If your servers do not have PS/2, you could try with the green USB cable that came with the AP5717 if you have it still - AP5717->940-5202 cable part number ->server).. If anything, my thought is an issue with the AP5201 since it is on an older platform.
Also, when you power cycle the AP5201, even the 640x480 log in screen for the KVM itself does not show? Hmm..

I have a 1024*768 at 75 MHz running and another at 1024*768 at 60 MHz that both show on a separate monitor plugged in to the KVM with no problems.
I can't get the firmware. Exit and Menu aren't doing anything.
