Problem with SmartUPS 3000VA 110V on changeover
We're having problems with a pair of 3000VA SmartUPS switches. These are used in an industrial environment where there are power dips due to large machines starting, when the power dip occurs the UPS changes over to battery and this causes our equipment to trip. (the UPS is feeding the control system)
We put an oscilloscope on the UPS output and we saw that the UPS on changeover outputs only the positive half of the sinewave eg it goes 0Hz - +50Hz - 0Hz - 0Hz - +50Hz instead of the full sine wave.this seems to happen for 2s or so. The voltage drops to about 46VAC from 120VAC recovering to 92VAC after about 50ms. This causes a relay to drop out stopping our application.
