Hey Guys,
I'm looking to finally get a UPS for my network, my biggest concern being my NAS, and I'm having trouble finding if it'll be able to be configured for Powerchute. Does anyone have any experience with that and/or point me in the right direction? Thanks.

i have been researching and i think like most NAS systems, it does have some type of UPS support.
http://www.netgear.com/home/products/storage/high-performance/RNDP200U.aspx
Power Management:
Wake on LAN
Power on/off scheduler
Disk spin-down mode
Automatic power on after power outage
Uninterruptible power supply (UPS) Support
usually they support it via a USB connection or replying on SNMP. http://www.readynas.com/download/documentation/UM/ReadyNAS_Home_SW_6June11.pdf
i checked that PDF and if this is the correct manual for your unit, it supports both. you might want to see if you can find out which UPSs are supported with netgear because i couldnt find that out.
but, you don't use it with powerchute - these NAS systems usually have support built in. if you use the remote management option, you will need a Smart UPS with a network management card most likely.
hope that helps.
