Right,
I have version 9.0.1.606 of the powerchute business edition installed on my local computer. I have installed all 3 components (server, console and agent) and the software was working perfectly with my APC Smart UPS 1000.
the issue I have now is, I recently carried out a domain workstation naming scheme to bring all my domain pc's into line on a common naming pattern. so my personal workstation was changed.
Now the console software keeps defaulting to the old name and wont logon, as such I have to enter the correct name of the 'server' (my workstation) and re-enter the password/username to access the software. Very annoying as I had it setup as a startup program to auto start and login when I start windows.
I have tried the usual uninstall/reboot/reinstall to no avail, so before I go picking through the registry etc can anyone suggest whats going on?
thanks
Ben

hello. we have seen a similar issue. to verify it is the same issue, can you do the following?
Attach console.ini files found in the server and console install folders.
The path should be C:\Program Files\APC\PowerChute Business Edition\console and C:\Program Files\APC\PowerChute Business Edition\server assuming the app was installed to the default path. When attaching them, rename the console.ini from the server folder to server-console.ini and rename the console.ini obtained from the console folder to console-console.ini.
thanks.
