PowerChute Network Shutdown 5.0 activation
Hi there!
We were running PCNS 4.4.2 in combination with a Smart-UPS X 750 INC (AP9631). This worked fine for the last years, but we noticed that PowerChute 4 will be ceased. So the approach was to update our installations to PCNS 5. Install went fine, but required reconfiguration of the PCNS software.
At first we couldn't connect to the AP9631 during PCNS setup at all - we were given a message that login would be incorrect. So as a try to fix this, we updated the AP9631 to 7.1.2 I believe. Since that update, we can further progress through the setup.
We are now asked to enter an activation ID, which we didn't need with PCNS 4. Bought a license and entered it during the setup - however, we can neither press activate nor can we switch to the next step, screenshot attached. What are we missing here? I assume switching to PCNS 5 is correct and mandatory, as the last 4.x release is no longer offered for download.

Hello @AntonDT,
You may have been having issues with a connection between your local network and the cloud activation server. If this is the case you can try the Offline activation method. Instructions on all activation methods can be found within the "PowerChute Network Shutdown Frequently Asked Questions" document found on the PowerChute product page on apc.com.
Kind Regards,
Cory
