I have a new smart-ups 1500, I keep getting text messages saying comm was lost. Is there a way that I can get messages just when it switches to battery power?

With PowerChute Business Edition if you have added the Agent to the Server and access it via the Console then the lost communications e-mails cannot be stopped. The reason is lost communications is considered a critical event and should be communicated so the Server has be pre-configured to send the e-mail. If you have not added the Agent to the Server / Console and access only via the web interface then you can deselect send e-mails for lost communication under the Event Configuration page.
