Power Module sypm10kf cooling fan

I have a bad fan in one of my power control Mod's. I thinking i should and could replace all the fans. I have 5 mod's in this unit with 3 fans each and I was wondering if anyone could tell me if fan replacement is a big deal to do. Are the connections plug in? Thanks in advance,E

You are correct in your assumption. Removing one of the modules would put you into overload, and then very quickly, bypass. Even if your load was only 66.67%, it would be an extremely risky thing to do. Try to shed enough of the load to bring the percentage down to 50 to 60%, and then you should be O.K.

Oh, and unless you buy the replacement fans from APC, they will NOT have the appropriate connector to plug into the motherboard.

Replacing the fans is very easy. You just remove the top cover which is held in place by a few screws on the top and sides. Remove the front grill, remove the six screws that hold the fans in place, undo the 3 small power connectors pull the fans out . To put them back in just do the reverse of what you did to get them out.

I understand this is a hot swap-able power module, so I'm assuming you can just unlock it, pull the whole module out, then do the fan replacement, and back it goes. What should be considered before pulling it out though? My current load in Watts is 92.1% and battery capacity at 100.0%. That tells me that with 3 modules, if I take out one of them my load is going to be more than what I can service. Is that a correct statement?
