Hi guys,
i am new to this forum and honestly i am not a network pro.
I have a SRT6K connected to a switch.
I can access the NMC from all different clients connected to the switch.
PCNS is working fine on all clients, but one:
That client is unable to open UDP 3052.
netstat -ab showed that this udp port 3052 is in use by another software running on that server.
That software is very important and i cannot "touch" it.
Can anyone help?
Thank you

Hi,
You could configure one of the systems that is running PCNS to run a script during shutdown. The script would triggers the remote system power down.
If the systems are Windows OS you could run
shutdown /s /f /d UP:6:12 /m \\server ip /c "PowerChute Network Shutdown has initiated a system shutdown" /t 0
You would enter the proper ip address of the remote server and should adjust the /t (time delay) to meet your needs. You may also need to create a new user on both systems to allow for remote shutdown.
Would you mind sharing what the application is the is utilizing UDP port 3052.

Bill, thank you for your reply and for the script.
I thought about that, too, but actually the only clients connected to the UPS are two clients running the app using the 3052 already, and a Synologie NAS.
The clients i mentioned which are running fine are only connected for testing purposes.
The app using the port is a raid storage controller running on these two servers.
These are Avid Isis 5500 Servers running in an video production office.
Maybe it is possible to make Synologie Nas run a command script, shutting down the other 2 Avid Isis servers?
It needs to be a script, because before shutdown the servers, there are services on these servers to be stopped.
Thanks

Hi,
Another option if there is a Netbotz in the configuration and it is running firmware 4.5.4 then you can configure the Netbotz to send a shutdown signal to PCNS. More information can be found in the Netbotz User's Guide.
