Possible Firmware Update Available for Smart-UPS 2200 and Questions?

Hi everyone. My first time on this discussion forum.

I own an old SU2200 that seems to be operating in a mostly normal way. The info on the UPS is:

Model: Smart-UPS 2200
Firmware Revision: 80.11.D
Manufacture Date: 02/22/99

I am wondering if there is a f/w update available for this unit? I have a network interface card plugged into it and can access it via the web interface configured for an IP address of 192.168.1.99. Also, with a new battery it never seems to make 100% charge and only seems to be able to reach about 96%. Are there internal adjustments that can be made to the charging circuitry or is the charger an "intelligent" one based upon sensed battery condition? Finally, is there a service manual available for this guy?

hello,

i can tell you that this UPS itself is not field upgradable unfortunately.

the network management cards generally are though. can you tell me what you see when you log in? if you can tell me the model of that, there may be an update available that i can get you. i am looking for the model, and then AOS and APP versions. generally a number like 3.7.3 is what you'd find for the versions. depending on what model and firmware its currently on, that info may be in a different spot.

as far as internal adjustments that can be made, they really arent something we'd be able to instruct a user to do but you may be able to find information on how to do it online or on the forum here at your own risk.

Thank you for the information. I recently flashed the NMC with a file named "apc_hw02_aos373_sumx372.exe" and I think it might be the latest. I'll try and search or ask for internal battery charger information on the web or in this forum. Thanks again!

yes, that is the latest firmware.
