Hi all,
We've been experiencing this problem recently in the past month where one of our PDUs (AP8941) in a data center give us "Switched Rack PDU: Phase near overload on phase #1." and 1 minute later we recieve "Switched Rack PDU: Phase near overload cleared on phase #1.".
We have Dell PowerEdge servers running Windows Server 2008 R2 and Server 2012 and 1 KVM utilizing this PDU.
This happens at the same time every morning, at 7:00 AM, but at no other point during the day.
We have not changed anything, or plugged any new device into any outlet.
Can confirm that no servers have restarted during this time (They are only scheduled to restart once a week on Sunday)
Any ideas as to what might cause what seems to be a "Scheduled" increase in amperage?

Angela- I am having the same problem that was listed in this thread. Mine has been going on for some time on this device. We have two of these and the 2nd unit is not having this problem. Both are being used as redundant power supplies to my server rack. I have even moved several 5-15Ps off of this device and moved to a separate multi outlet to troubleshoot. I have the data and event txt files if you need to review them. Thanks.

I have the same issue. I have two AP8959EU3 switched RPDU in the same server rack as all the devices have redundant power supplies. Both RPDU have the same number of connections yet one of the RPDU's is showing a Phase Near Overload all the time. The other RPDU is showing a phase load of .66 KW and but the RPDU in question is showing a load of 3.25 KW. As I mentioned both have the exact same number of connections from different redundant power supplies. All of the devices power supplies have green status lights and are all running ok. I am getting a change request submitted to update the firmware from 6.3.3 to 6.4.4 but am not confident that this will resolve this issue. Any ideas?

Can you share the full event.txt, data.txt, and config.ini files? (Instructions here if you need them -> http://www.apc.com/support/index?page=content&country=ITB〈=en&locale=en_US&id=FA156131) I'd have to guest this is a legitimate increase/site issue unless there is a threshold set really low that shouldn't be? Maybe something on the same circuit causing this as an effect that kicks on at the same time every day?
Are all of those devices connected to the same bank of outlets as well? I have never seen a PDU erroneously do something like this before.
