Ok I know this will sound stupid but i've never setup PCNS before and i'd like to double check.
I have a Smart-UPS 5000 RM powering 6 servers, i've updated the firmware on the card and have PCNS V2.2.4 installed on 4 of the machines, i've configured the web interface for 8 min low power duration. The question is, I now have to configure events individually on all of the servers? And is that all there is to it? I keep looking thinking a) it's a bit too easy and b) shouldn't the config be central not per machine. Have I missed anything?
Second question, you might note 2 machines don't have PCNS, these are 2008 R2 Hyper-V servers. I see there is optional software for Hyper-V which we will purchase shortly but for now I have installed PCNS on the 4 VM's as a stop gap. I assume this will work and shut down the VM's even if the hosts collapse unceremonially?
Thanks
Baz

That is not my experience with v 2.23 on either Win/NetWare/Linux
During the test I had all server set to 300 seconds & exactly at 5 min running on batteries (with plenty juice left) all servers sgutdown nicely (as expected)
