PCNS Virtual Appliance on Standalone ESXi shutdown question
Hi,
I am testing the PCNS VA on a standalone ESXi host.
On page 11 of the PCNS VMWare guide here: https://c368768.ssl.cf1.rackcdn.com/product_files/14463/original/PowerChute_Network_Shutdown_v3.1_fo... it states that it connects directly to the host to shut it down with credentials.
It relies on the Startup/Shutdown settings meaning that when the HOST receives the shutdown command from PCNS it will start shutting down servers based on the time configured on the Startup/Shutdown setting? So in the attached image the VM's will wait 120 seconds (2 mins) to start shutting down BUT where do we configure PCNS to hold off a few minutes before initiating shutdown? A power flicker or maybe an outage of 3-5 minutes might not require a shutdown of the guests and hosts....instead have PCNS hold off for 5 mins to see if power is restored.
Thanks,
ceez
