I'm working on setting up PCNS 3 on our ESXi 5 servers. Our servers are in a vmware cluster and I have 1 vma (for 2 ESXi servers) (should I have one vma instance on each host?). Anyhow, how do I confiugre PCNS? Should I set up "Shut Down System" under "UPS: On Battery" in "Configure Events"? Do I need to configure anything else in "Configure Events"?
Do I need to configure anything in "Configure Shutdown"? I'm specifically wondering about "Run this command files (full name)".
"The command file needs this much time to complete (seconds)" is for how long it takes for all the VM's and ESXi hosts to shut down, correct?

Hi Kevin79,
This might help with what you want to accomplish.[Install PowerChute Network Shutdown 3.0.1 on ESXi 5.0 with vMA 5.0|http://nam-en.apc.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/11588]. You only need to fill that in if you want a command file to be run before the shutdown commences. Adjust the shutdown delay time in the network management card's interface (UPS>Shutdown) to ensure that your VMs have enough time.
