I am trying to have several UPS Smart UPS SC420's connect to PowerChute Business Edition Deluxe. Of the 5 UPS' trying to connect, right now only one is showing up under the Device List Configuration. All the workstations with the UPS have the agent installed. I thought I read somewhere that the client/agent needs to have the same username/password as the server does to connect. Any other ideas? I can successfully ping the machines with the UPS and no firewall is present.
Thanks.

silly question - each agent is directly connected to a UPS via a serial cable correct? or are they all connected to the same UPS via an interface expander?
let us know how the physical cables are connected.
[make sure these ports are open|http://nam-en.apc.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/2790/]
[this also may help|http://nam-en.apc.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/10533/]
i would also log in to each agent to make sure it is communicating with the UPS itself.
