Hi everyone,
Network Guy looking for support ... I have an older RS1500 UPS SN JB0531036383
I replaced the battery, the green light blinks when I turn it on, then about 30 seconds later, the orange "on battery" light turns on, another 30 seconds later the green light shuts off leaving the orange light on. Then it starts beeping ... 4 beeps at a time in a 2 minute cycle.
Here is a video of the problem

Thanks!

let me clarify, i don't think there is an issue with the battery here since the UPS is running off of battery power.
i think there is a problem with the input power to the UPS - either the UPS having a problem detecting input power/voltage/frequency/electrical noise or there truly is a problem with one of those according to the UPS.

thanks for the helpful video. i took a look.
what is happening is the 4 beeps every 30 seconds indicates that the UPS is running on battery which you also see when the UPS has a solid on battery LED. the online LED flashing in the beginning is normal too because when you turn the UPS on, it does a UPS self test. this is indicated by the solid on battery LED with the flashing online LED.
do you know what happened to this UPS prior? your battery looks new so did you buy it because it indicated replacement? any back story would be helpful.
from what i can tell here in summary, is the UPS is running on battery for some reason - i.e. it has no input voltage (i assume you have the UPS plugged into the wall) - have you tried different circuits at your location? another reason could be frequency out of range or electrical noise.
if it were me and you could do it, you'd need the USB cable that came with the UPS and I would install powerchute personal edition if possible to see what the UPS indicates is the problem and why it is running on battery power instead of utility/wall power.
i forgot to mention, if the 4 beeps is not happening every 30 seconds, perhaps a quick switch between utility/battery power is happening and messing up that timer. i saw that briefly at the beginning of your video.

Thank you for your response, those a are great tips! I will try...
I had a really weird problem. I knew there was a network problem on Sunday night. I came to work in a disguise on Monday (you network guys know what I mean) and headed straight for the sever room to find that two of my four APC's were flashing red. One was "overload" and the other was "battery". I forget which one this was. So I ordered 4 new batteries - I figure replace them all.
This may be the "overload" one ... perhaps the charging circuitry is not working.
But as you suggested, I will try a new battery (I have a second new one) and try a different circuit in the wall.
Thanks again!
