Hey Guys,
We have a TV tower for our Teleco and are about to offer IPTV service.
The TV tower has some equipment which needs to be backedup on a UPS. No generators avaialable.
I am new to this so need advice.
The requirement is to havea ups to provide power to 72 hours at 50% charge level (i dont know what this means). Also I was asked to derate the battery capacity specification by 15% in calculations.
The total wattage consumed by the equipment is 60 watts.
Please help
Thanks
RJ

You would only be consuming 60Watts of power? That is extremely low. Typically needing battery runtime past a few hours becomes cost prohibitive and the installation of a generator would be a more desirable alternative than adding that much run time to a UPS.
However..... Just a quick option I ran was with the following
SUA3000XLT with qty 3 APC Smart-UPS Ultra Battery Pack 48V UXABP48 List Price $3852. This configuration would give you an estimated run time of 114 hours at 75W load.
You didn't mention your voltage reqs but I'm assuming only single phase as you only need 60W of backup.
