New in row cooling requirements

Hi team,

We have small datacenter with sensitive and high secure data and servers. Currently it is one row with 7 racks. Soon we will add another servers racks. The cooling system is HVAC which damaged some servers. I am willing to install in row cooling system from your products but I have some questions that I need your answers to provide our project management team to start purchasing and so on.

My questions are:

1- are your in row cooling products enough to cool the DC, so I can stop HVAC?

2-for redundancy, shall I get two units. Each row has one cooling unit?

3-do you have built in monitoring system, so I can monitor environment and getting alarms, also system for redundancy ?

4-what is the best unit which fits with our requirements, also it doesn't need complex installation (plug and play)?

5-Could you please provide me some links for the proposed products by you?

Regards

Hello. The items are there for the cooling system. They have the unit, the condenser and the leak sensor off the cooling units. For the rest of the equipment in the row, it is up to what you are looking for. I can tell you the cooling systems have the equipment that is needed but the rest of the row is outside of my expertise.

Thank you

Hello Hus. Here are some recommendations for your questions.

1- are your in row cooling products enough to cool the DC, so I can stop HVAC?

A- This depends on the heat load in your room. We have a variety of different sized Inrow cooling units that can cool between 5kw-70KW of heat load per cooling unit.

2-for redundancy, shall I get two units. Each row has one cooling unit?

A-Most of our DX (air cooled) Inrow units can do lead/lag to allow a backup unit for redundancy. This will also depend on the setup of the room to determine how many units would be needed to have redundancy in the room.

3-do you have built in monitoring system, so I can monitor environment and getting alarms, also system for redundancy ?

A- All of our Inrow units come with a network card in them that allows network access to them for monitoring and alarm emails. They will just need to be hooked up to your network.

4-what is the best unit which fits with our requirements, also it doesn't need complex installation (plug and play)?

A-This will depend on your requirements for the Data center. Please see below for suggestion on getting help on sizing.

5-Could you please provide me some links for the proposed products by you?

A- Here is a link to our website for our cooling products.

http://www.apc.com/shop/us/en/categories/cooling/N-yp2yk2

I recommend calling into your local sales support as they can can walk you through the selection process to see which of the Inrow options will work best for your data center. The number can be found on our website under support tab and contact us.

Thank you

Hi team.

I have called your local supplier. Therfore, supplier sales manager have visited us, later he shared with us two designs including quotations.

So, I believe that the cost is so high for small DC and there is a difference between quotations and your website. Can you help me to review designs and quotations?

I would like to get an email for non local supplier otherwise can I  attach both design and quotation here?

Regards,

Hello Hus.

We are tech support here so we do not deal with the pricing or design on new systems. We can take a look if you would like to post the designs but I am not sure how much we will be able to help on this side.

Thank you

That's great if you can review the design and required parts.

I have attached them. Please have a look and provide me your feedback.

Thanks.

Hello. The Layout looks good on the drawings. You will need to make sure you have enough heat load in the room for the 600mm units. They require at least 15 kw of heat load each to run properly (more heat load then this is better). As long as there is 15 kw of heat load, then you can run one unit and have two in back up, or if there is 30kw of load then you can run two and have one as a back up.

Thank you

Thanks for your valuable feedback.

Did you check the bill of materials?

Are all items required except first item?

Thanks again and BR
