Hi Abdul,

You can download the Device IP Configuration Wizard from this URL [http://www.apc.com/tools/download/index.cfm], under Filter by Software/Firmware look for Software Upgrades - Wizards and Configurators then click Submit and from there download the Network Management Device IP Configuration Wizard. As of this moment the latest version is 5.0.1, it has the part number of SFDIPW501. This would help you setup an un-configured NMC and also search for other NMCs that are already configured.

There are other methods on how to setup or configure the network management card, we have a knowledge base article that can guide you and this can be seen by searching the Document ID using our FAQ page. To go to our FAQ/Knowledge Base click on this link [http://www.apc.com/site/support/index.cfm/faq/] and then search for FA156064.

With regards to the function or benefits of a network management card, below are the common things that you can do with it.
- It provides remote UPS management wherein you can retrieve information (i.e. runtime remaining, UPS load, etc) via TelNet, SNMP or the WebUI.
- Diagnostic tests can be performed remotely and event and data logs can be retrieved.
- It provides notification through email, SNMP, and paging (available in AP9618 only)
- It can be used in conjunction with PowerChute Network Shutdown to provide graceful, unattended shutdown to multiple servers powered off of one UPS.
- It also offers secure connections such as SSL, SSH and SCP
- It also offers Flash Upgradeable Firmware, Network Time Protocol and support for RADIUS.
- For AP9631, it offers Environmental Monitoring and Dry Contact Functionality thru an add-on device.
