Network Management Card Says "No UPS Found"

Hello,

I currently have an AP9617 card in a Smart-UPS 2200 and am trying to configure it to send out alerts however on the main page of the network management cards website it says that No UPS is found.  I have attached a picture for reference.

This indicates the management card cannot talk to the UPS. I would start by viewing knowledge base article FA156045 @ http://www.apc.com/site/support/index.cfm/faq/

The most common issue is that the incorrect firmware application is loaded. Go to the Administration Tab->General->About, and let me know what you see there.

Then I need to know the exact model of Smart UPS 2200 - preferably the model from the white sticker on the back of the UPS. This will tell us if this model UPS is supported by AP9617 as not all are.

Then once we rule problems out with these two points, we'll pursue the rest of the information in the article.

The model number is SMT2200.

The application module is sumx v3.5.5

The APC OS is aos v3.5.5

OK so someone must have broke off the tabs on the back of the UPS SmartSlot to insert the AP9617 because it should not fit. Only AP9630/AP9631 Network Management Cards are supported by SMT/SMX model Smart UPS.

No, unfortunately not. there is no firmware application for AP9617/18/19 cards that will support or "talk to" SMT/SMX Smart UPS. These cards were discontinued prior to SMT/SMX UPS release so there was no development done to support the newer UPSs with the discontinued management cards.
