When I first turned on a new APC Smart-UPS SMT2200C, I was prompted to go through the setup wizard. One of the prompts asked for the current date. Due to a keypress error, I chose a date that was several months off from the true date.
As a result, the reported install date for the battery is incorrect. Additionally, the estimated battery replacement date is also incorrect. I can find no place in the menu to fix the date I entered incorrectly. I have tried re-entering the setup wizard, resetting the unit to factory defaults, and disconnecting/reconnecting the battery and answering "yes" to the new battery prompt. I cannot find any way to enter the correct date.
UPS part number: SMT2200C
UPS firmware: 18.0, ID: 1027
Date of manufacture: Jan 2025

You may use the following methods to update the battery installation date if available and present:
LCD Menu: Disconnect the RBC and wait for the system to declare a battery fault. Wait another 30 seconds than reconnect the RBC. The system will prompt you if this is a new RBC toggle from No to Yes.
Enter the month and year and hit save / enter. Complete the process by manually initiating a Self Test and let complete.
PCBE / PCSS: The battery installation date can be updated via either software programs.
NMC: If present once you’ve logged in go to Configuration -> UPS -> Last Battery Replacement: Enter the month & year and hit save.

Unfortunately, the battery disconnect method did not work. After removing the battery, waiting for the fault + 30 seconds, reconnecting it, and answering yes to the "new battery" prompt, the unit jumps immediately back to the main screen. It never presents me the option to set a date. Is there a trick or precondition I'm missing?
I do not have an NMC installed. I suppose the only remaining option is to try to load PowerChute onto a laptop and bring it down to where the UPS is installed.

Yes the only alternative now is via Power Chute Software (PCBE / PCSS). Once you find the tab to update the battery installation date also verify the (Lock LCD) is not enabled.
