Hi!
This might be a stupid question but I just want to confirm my thoughts
I have a Smart-UPS 2200 with an NMC connected to the LAN and four servers that get there power via the UPS. Now if the power goes out in the building the switches for the LAN will go down as well, I guess this would mean that my servers loses connection with the NMC in the UPS and thus cannot receive a shutdown command, correct?
Therefor, is it a good (required) idea to configure the servers to shutdown if they loose connection with the NMC?
Thanks for your input.

It's also a good reason to have the NMC plugged into the same switch as the servers, and the switch plugged into the UPS.
