Monitor two APC units from one machine - still not possible??
Hi All
All the answers i found to this question were pretty old, so i figured i'd check if anything's new.
We have one Dell Windows 2003 SBS Server with redundant power supplies, plugged into two separate APC SmartUPS 1500 units (USB, no smart cards) on two separate circuits.
The drain of the two UPS units is not even or predictable because other systems are separately attached to one or the other of them.
Is there any way i can monitor the battery drain on both of the units from the same server? Once i have that i could run a script or anything else, but i need to monitor both from one server.
I can't use Smart Cards etc. because A) i don't have a budget and B) then i would have to include the switch in my power outage plan.
I need a simple solution, please tell me it exists!
Thanks
