Hi to all
Can anyone tell me if the Mge Galaxy 5000 series can handle a capacitive load(0.9lead) without derating it?
As far as i know the Symmetra PX can handle this kind of loads without derate the output kva.

Umm... Well yeah I mean I thought it was a given that a smaller UPS couldn't support a load its not sized for...
Ie 40kva G5K can't support a 100kva load..
End of the Day.. End of story
G5K can support .9pf leading or lagging without derating.

The MGE Galaxy 5000 series has a output Power Factor of 0.9 so based on the spec you have given, the Galaxy 5000 series will be able to handle the load without compromising it's total KVA capacity.

I'm not sure what you mean by this response however regardless of leading or lagging the Galaxy 5000 can support its rated KVA and KW at a PF of .9.
So for a 100kva G5K it could support:
100Kva, 90Kw at .9pf leading
90Kva, 90Kw at 1pf
100Kva, 90Kw at .9pf lagging.
Erasmus answer is not incorrect.

Hi
Yes it is true for a 100 kVA. So everything depends on the power of the inverter..
