I recently purchased a APC BX850M, it works great for a back up but I want it to also shutdown my server gracefully in the event of a power loss. I have been trying to connect everything using PowerChute network shutdown but can not get the APC BX850M to connect with "Network Management Card". Is it possible to have this specific device to connect to the internet, does it even have a "Network Management Card"? If this device does not, can someone suggest a APC product that will connect to a network and be able to gracefully shutdown connected devices via PowerChute Network Shutdown or other utilities?
Also, my server is a ESXI 6.0 server with 5 Windows VMs and 1 Alienvault VM. I would also like to add that I am inexperienced with ups backups, this is the first ever I bought.
Thank you in advance for all the help and patients.

Thank you so much for sending me that information. I will look into that and see if I can get a smt version and create a redundant ups system with the one I currently have.

Hi,
You will need a Smart-UPS SMT or SMX with a network management card to communicate with PCNS. Here is a link to the Smart-UPS product page
The difference between a SMT and SMX is the SMX allow you to add external battery packs to increase runtime while on battery. The SMT does not allow for external battery packs.
