Does anyone know if there is isolation between the AC output ports of an SPC UPS.
Scenario:
My client has a an SMC1500, protecting two small servers. 12 moths ago they had an electric pedestrian gate system installed and the installers connected it to the UPS.
Because the gate is outside, and if it were to incur a lightening strike, would the other devices on the AC output side be protected?
We've been seeing odd things happening with servers going down for no reason, and for two events the only way to clear errors has been to disconnect the servers from the UPS for a few mins.
Its not my choice to have the "gate" connected being an IT contractor - the customer says it stays.
